Charlotte Concerts: Vienna Concert-Verein

Vienna Concert-Verein OrchestraThe best of old and new Vienna is captured in a concert presented by the venerable Queen City organization Charlotte Concerts. Under the direction of Philippe Entremont the orchestra first performs a pastiche by contemporary Austrian composers based on Schubert’s most famous art song. Then it’s a symphony by Schubert, followed by a light-hearted sequence of Viennese marches, waltzes and polkas.
