Charlotte Symphony Orchestra: All-Beethoven Season Opener

CSO11-preshow-150From the season-opening concert of the Charlotte Symphony's Classics Series in September of 2012, we hear an all-Beethoven concert. Music Director Christopher Warren-Green put together a program of Beethoven selections which were all premiered at the same concert in 1807. Brazilian-born pianist Arnaldo Cohen joins the orchestra for the Fourth Piano Concerto, sandwiched between the Coriolan Overture and the oft-overlooked Symphony No. 4, described by Schumann as "a slender Greek maiden between two Norse gods."
