Western Piedmont Symphony: 47th Season Opening Concert

We go to Hickory, NC, for this week's show to hear from two of the area's musical institutions. First, from the opening concert of Western Piedmont Symphony's 47th season, Cesar Franck's Symphony in d and Grieg's piano concerto with guest pianist Glenn Harman. Then the symphony's principal string players take center stage as the Kontras Quartet for a performance of Maurice Ravel's String Quartet in F.
